Flexibility Training
During my more youthful years, flexibility training , was a low priority area on the training totem pole. Weight Training, strength training, speed training and cross training were all ranked higher than stretching and flexibility stuff. However, in retrospect, I now find that FLEXIBILITY is an area that really needs to be kept in better focus. It's value is greater than we sometimes think. With an increased focus and dedication to flexibility training, I have witnessed much improvement in the skills of many athletes. Furthermore, from a personal standpoint, as my own body ages, I now see the need to utilize the methods and techniques of flexibility training now more than ever. It has noticeably been a benefit to me in my training....especially the interval training and sprint training that I do about 2 to 3 times per week. In fact, I incorporate a 15-20 minute stretching and dynamic flexibility routine prior to heavy workouts.

So, to get to The Next Level, I'd suggest a program that increases the focus on FLEXIBILITY training. Check out the renowned book on stretching by Bob Anderson in my suggested reading section and Loosen up!
